Did you know that it takes 2.5 times more energy to produce a tonne of ammonium nitrate than the energy contained in it. No wonder it has become so inflationary.
Overview
TwinNis a reliable, cost effective selection of nitrogen-fixing microbes for use as a soil improver on all crops. TwinNmicrobes live inside the plant as well as on the root surface. The microbes operate like miniature urea factories, converting atmospheric nitrogen into a plant-available form. TwinN microbes respond to nitrogen demands as the plant dictates, and as a result, nitrogen is neither under nor over-supplied. TwinNtakes advantage of a category of microorganisms called endophytes. TwinN microbes are multi-functional in their mode of operation - they have the potential to fix nitrogen within plants as well as in the soil surrounding the root zone. This in turn creates two separate sites of activity, hence the name 'TwinN'.
TwinNis a freeze-dried biological alternative to traditional nitrogenous fertilisers. TwinN can reduce the reliance on nitrogen fertiliser application in conventional farming operations.
Fully approved for organic use with the Organic Farmers & Growers.
Approved for restricted use by Soil Association standards for organic farming and production.
The microbes grow together with the plants increasing growing demands
Ideal for use in Nitrate Vulnerable Zone area’s ~ minimal leaching
Cleared with Natural England for use on ‘Arable Reversion Tier 3b’ in the South East
Sensible financial savings compared with AN or Urea
Huge savings in waste packaging & transport costs.
Approx 60% of energy costs in UK farming are consumed in the manufacture of artificial fertilisers
